The Henderson ISD Child Nutrition Department adheres to all national and state regulations/policies regarding reimbursable meals and the sale or distribution of food items in Texas Public Schools. All other food sales/distribution in which food is made available to students on the school campuses adhere to the Texas Public School Nutrition Policy. Food/food types are restricted by time/place and the portion sizes and nutritional requirements are followed as prescribed by this policy. For more information, go to:

Texas School Nutrition Policy Exempt Events
Students may be given Foods of Minimum Nutritional Value, candy items or other restricted foods during the school day for up to three different events each school year to be determined by campus. The exempted events must be approved by a school official. During these events, Foods of Minimum Nutritional Value may not be given during meal times in the areas where school meals are being served or consumed, and regular meal service (breakfast and lunch) must continue to be available to all students in accordance with federal regulations.
The following events have been approved by Henderson ISD officials as Texas School Nutrition Policy Exempt Events:
Wylie Primary School
Christmas Parties- Thursday, December 16th
Valentines Day Parties- Monday, February 14th
Easter Parties- Thursday, April 21st
Wylie Elementary School
Christmas Parties – Thursday, December 16th
Valentines Parties – Friday, February 11th
End-of-Year Parties – Wednesday, June 1st
Northside Intermediate School
Christmas Parties- Thursday, December 16th
Valentines Day Parties- Monday, February 14th
End-of-Year Parties – Wednesday, June 1st
