Chamberlain Elementary was built in 1960 as Henderson ISD continued to expand in the middle of the 20th century. Chamberlain served as a community elementary school which served grades one through four for a number of years, including the integration years of 1965-1970. In 2003, Chamberlain was switched to a 3rd grade only campus, which it still serves as today. Chamberlain was one of HISD’s recognized campuses in 2005-2006.
